NDA Eligibility (as per UPSC)
1. Nationality
- Must be a citizen of India, or a subject of Nepal/Bhutan.
- Tibetan refugees who came to India before Jan 1, 1962, with the intention to settle permanently are also eligible.
2. Age Limit
- 16.5 to 19.5 years (as of the date specified in UPSC notification).
Must be unmarried male or female candidates only.
3. Educational Qualification

Note: Students appearing in Class 12 can also apply.
4. Physical Standards
- Candidates must be physically fit as per NDA medical standards.
- No history of major illness, surgery, or physical disability.
- Height: Minimum 157 cm (Army), 162.5 cm (Air Force); relaxations apply for candidates from certain regions.
NDA Selection Process
- Written Examination – Conducted by UPSC (Twice a Year)
- SSB Interview – 5-Day Selection Process by Indian Army/Navy/Air Force
- Medical Examination
- Final Merit List
