Eligibility Criteria for Merchant Navy (IMU-CET)
1. Nationality
- Must be an Indian citizen
2. Gender
- Both Male and Female candidates are eligible.
3. Age Limit
- Minimum 17 years and Maximum 25 years at the time of admission.
- Age relaxation of 5 years for SC/ST candidates and 2 years for female candidates (in some institutes).

5. Medical & Physical Standards
- Must be medically fit as per D.G. Shipping standards
- No color blindness and 6/6 vision in each eye (without visual aids for Deck Cadets)
- Minimum height: 157 cm; proportionate weight and chest measurement
- Must pass a Maritime Medical Test from a D.G. Shipping-approved doctor
